Leafguard - Accountant

As the Accountant, you will report to the LG Accounting Manager and will support a variety of accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation. Your contributions will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and support the overall success of the department.

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries under supervision
• Assist in posting and analyzing monthly inventory cycle counts
• Help prepare and review account reconciliations
• Support the preparation of expense reports and summaries
• Provide initial analysis of significant variances and escalate as needed
• Support external audits by preparing documentation and assigned schedules
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records

• Foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to team efficiency
• Flexibility to take on ad hoc projects as assigned by management
• Demonstrated integrity and accountability in handling financial information

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
• Experience with accounting systems (Infor and Sage preferred)
• Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
